All students who have not yet attended a course at the ZfS or whose last completed Polish course (at the ZfS!) was more than three semesters ago or whose last placement interview was more than one semester ago must register for the placement interview via Paul (since WS 23/24).

You can only register for the placement interview during the first registration phase. The placement interview consists of a 10-minute interview with the lecturer. The placement interview only takes place in the first week of the semester on the day of the course (e.g. Wednesday). You will receive all further information (location, exact time and date) from Paul in good time.

You only register for the course of your choice in the second enrolment phase. (However, you will only be admitted to the course after the placement interviews have taken place.) If the demand exceeds the number 30, a decision will be made as to whether you will receive a place or a cancellation. You will be informed in both cases. If you are offered a place on the course, you will be automatically admitted via the ZfS in Paul.

Please note!

• Taking the placement test does not guarantee you a place on a language course.
• The results remain valid for course enrolment in the following semester.
• The interview cannot be repeated and cannot be taken on another date.
• Attendance is compulsory for the courses and you are expected to spend 3-6 hours per week preparing for and following up on the course content.
