As exchange students from partner universities or Master's students on English-language degree programmes at Paderborn University, you can attend German language courses in the winter and summer semesters. Here you have the opportunity to expand your language skills for everyday university and private life.

Placement

  • If you already have German language skills but have not yet completed a German course at Paderborn University, you must take a placement test before enrolling.
  • The test takes place online via KOMO: detailed instructions.
  • Please note the deadlines (see section "Dates" above).

Note: If you have no knowledge of German, you do not need a placement test and can register for A1.1 directly in PAUL.

 

Enrolment

  • If you have been allocated a place but do not wish to take part in the course, please deregister from the course.

 

Note: If you have not been allocated a place on the course and are having problems with your standard period of study as a result, please send an e-mail to deutschkurse@upb.de. Please state in the e-mail,

(2) and why it was not possible to enrol on time.
