Procedure
Step 1: First you will need to independently organise a suitable placement that is relevant to your field of studies. Which placements are eligible, can be found here.
Step 2: As soon as you have successfully found a placement, you can apply to the International Office for an Erasmus+ grant to support your placement abroad. Please submit your application documents by email no later than six weeks before your placement is due to begin. Detailed information on the application process and our selection criteria can be found here.
Step 3: The International Office will check your application documents and inform you of the outcome of your application by email.
Step 4: If your application is successful, we will send you your personalised grant agreement, which stipulates the conditions associated with receiving an Erasmus+ grant. Please submit two signed print-outs of the grant agreement and all further required documents (see below) to the International Office no later than four weeks before your placement commences. A list of the other documents required can found here.
Step 5: If you are not a native-speaker of the language that you will be working in during your time abroad, you will be sent a link to the EU’s online language test (further information here). Once you have completed the language test, 75% of the total grant amount will be transferred to your bank account.
Step 6: Any changes of plan that occur during your placement (e.g. regarding the length of the placement, contact persons etc.) must be reported to the International Office without delay.
Step 7: Once you have completed your placement, you are required to submit an experience report using Mobility Tool+. You will receive an automatically-generated reminder email about this when your placement is scheduled to end. You must also submit proof of the duration of your placement (employment reference or Learning Agreement Table D) to the International Office. Once we have received the remaining documents as described above, the rest of your grant total (25%) will be transferred to your bank account.
