Welcome to the Dual Career Service of the University of Paderborn!
Paderborn University offers guidance and assistance for newly appointed professors and for other leadership positions in the University. For those new to Paderborn, the Dual Career Service helps you find individual solutions, such as accommodation, suitable child care, or support for your partner’s career.
Couples in which both partners are pursuing careers, often have to deal with high demands and a large amount of stress in daily life. They often have to manage separate homes, require a high degree of flexibility, need long distances to commute, and have less time for family life.
Paderborn University is pleased to help simplify couples’ new life in Paderborn and to help produce better work-life balance by taking into account the career goals of both partners.
The Dual Career Service is offered for:
- newly appointed professors and their partners and families
- new holders of a leadership position in the university in science, facilities and administration, as well as their partners and families.
The Dual Career Service is a member of the Dual Career Network North Rhine-Westphalia. It is networked with universities and companies in the region.
