23 January 2024 | A glance at the study about support for international students in the United States of America, Republic of Korea and Germany from a comparative perspective

Speakers:Eun Young Park, former doctoral candidate at Paderborn University's Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Institute of Educational Science specialising in historical-systematic and comparative educational science
Description:

For her doctoral thesis, Eun Young Park analysed the support structures for international students in the USA, Korea and Germany. On 24 January, she will present her findings:

"In the process of the internationalisation of higher education, a meaningful integration of international students at host universities has gained interest in the past two decades. Concrete questions needed to be asked for reflection when universities want to keep up with and claim internationalisation as crucial part of universities’ innovation process and when it comes to self-representation in the context of global competition. Against this background, the purpose of this study was to explore the voices of the main actors involved and this round of International Tuesdays opens up to take a glance at the study’s findings to initiate further dialogues focusing on the meaningful support for international students at host universities."
