Recognition of study achievements from abroad

The most comprehensive possible recognition of study and examination achievements is an important prerequisite for national and international student mobility. Competences already acquired are thus not examined more than once and study periods are not unnecessarily extended.

Recognition at higher education institutions refers to the competences and achievements that have been obtained at higher education institutions and that are recognised with the aim of continuing studies in another degree programme or at another higher education institution.

The process of recognition differs from faculty to faculty within UPB. Here are the websites of the faculties:

Grade conversion

The conversion of grades from abroad is done using grade conversion tables, which you can find on the above-mentioned websites of the faculties. If there is no conversion table for your partner university, the Modified Bavarian Formula is used. Ask your faculty about the grade conversion method for stays abroad.
