Creating new impulses through the joint exchange of teaching staff and students - that is the aim of the Teaching Day, which will take place for the 13th time at Paderborn University on Tuesday, 3 June. The theme of this year's event, which is being organised by the Educational Innovations and University Didactics Unit, is "Teaching for Future - Sustainable Teaching and Teaching about Sustainability". The central question here is how sustainability can be communicated in and through teaching and anchored in the long term. All academics and students at Paderborn University as well as interested members of the public are cordially invited to take part in the conference. An overview of the entire programme can be found on the event website. Registration is possible until Monday, 26 May.
Prof Dr Beate Flath, Vice President for Teaching, Studies and Quality Management, will open the Teaching Day at 10 am. Afterwards, Prof Dr Matthias Barth, President of Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development, will give a keynote speech on the topic of "Sustainability, education and all the rest. Why sustainability is not an issue for the university". In addition, the prize for innovation and quality improvement in teaching, the teaching prize for young academics and the university didactic certificates will be awarded. A panel discussion, interdisciplinary round tables, workshops, a poster session and a university didactics "DisQspace" will round off the event.
