COLOURS at the Europe Week 2025
COLOURS took part in the 25th Europe Week conference, which was held in Paderborn Town Hall from 1 to 3 May 2025 under the motto ‘Strengthening Europe - Nurturing Partnerships’. Europe Week provides a platform for dialogue on the future of Europe, particularly in the areas of education and culture.
At the opening event of the three-day conference, Dr Annette Klinkert, Managing Director of the COLOURS University Alliance, gave a keynote speech on the topic of ‘University alliances - building bridges for the future’. The presentation highlighted the role of university alliances as a driving force for transnational cooperation and their importance for a sustainable European education landscape.
In the panel discussion that followed, various experts from the education sector shared their perspectives on the question ‘How can we strengthen Europe through educational cooperation - and why is this more important now than ever?’. The panel discussion was enriched by the interactive involvement of the audience, who had the opportunity to ask questions and actively participate in the dialogue.
The conference was aimed at all stakeholders in the fields of education and culture, including teachers, museum educators and students. Interested members of the public were also invited to take part in this important discussion.
The 25th European Conference is organised by the Westf?lisches Forum für Kultur und Bildung e.V. and has been a platform for transnational dialogue in education and culture for a quarter of a century. With over 130 participants from all over Europe, the European Conference offers ideal conditions for exchange, networking and joint learning - values that COLOURS also places at the centre of its work.
