Many people have difficulty choosing the right passwords, often using the same one for several programs. This increases the risk of IT security vulnerabilities because weak passwords often cause problems. This animated film reviews the guidelines for creating secure passwords.

Phish­ing At­tack: What to Do?

Paderborn University recommends using passwords that are at least 12 characters long and include numbers, lowercase letters, and special characters. Passwords should be changed regularly and not used more than once. Password managers, such as KeePass, can be helpful. Never share sensitive data via insecure channels.

Make Your Pass­word Strong

The "Make Your Password Strong" website, created by the NRW State Office of Criminal Investigation, provides advice on creating secure passwords, utilizing password managers, and enabling two-factor authentication. The website also warns against online scams, such as fake shops and doxxing. The campaign aims to protect users from cybercrime.
