With upb+ students can collect and merge achievements at Paderborn University, for which they must not receive credit points and which are relevant in the context of career preparation.
If all requirements for participation are met, the Zentrale Studienberatung or the International Office will issue the certificate.
The participation in upb+ prepares students for several aspect of the job market which are often not covered in the standard curriculum. Interested students participate in voluntary events that are offered by institutions, clubs or initiatives at Paderborn University. Students set the focus individually.
Voluntary Engagement and commitment alongside the studies can be clearly mapped through the upb+ certificate. This offers participants the chance to build an additional profile and to attach extracurricular work to job applications.
With upb+ Human Resource Departments can see student’s competency and engagement in one document. Your job application folio will look neat and streamlined.
This differs depending on the format. An event or workshop has to have a minimum duration of 3 hours. The registered upb+ partners, including clubs and initiatives, decide what of their work qualifies for a certificate of participation.

The pass offers all the information about the conditions of participation and contents of upb+. It helps you to keep an overview of your submitted certificates of participations.
The participation forms are given out by the partners and can be admitted by the Career Service or the International Office. You can get a stamp in the pass in the correspondent pillar to have an overview. With a total of five certificates of participation in at least three of the four pillars, you have fulfilled all requirements to receive the upb+ certificate!
