Admission

If your application for the DSH course is successful, you will receive an admission letter for the German language course. Please note:

  • This process may take up to eight weeks after the application deadline.
  • We kindly ask you not to inquire about the status of your application during this time.

Important Notes About Admission

The admission is exclusively for the DSH course and does not guarantee admission to a subsequent degree program.

Admission requirements for degree programs (e.g., admission restrictions, required grade averages, language proficiency, aptitude tests) may change between the start of the DSH course and the beginning of your studies.

  • A decision about your admission to a degree program can only be made after you have successfully completed the DSH course.
  • This also applies to the recognition of previously earned academic credits, such as when applying for a Master’s program.

Confirmation of Your Study Program

If you achieve the Intermediate Level II (Mittelstufe II) or Advanced Level (Oberstufe) in the DSH course at the University of Paderborn, you must confirm your intended degree program at the International Office:

  1. Once you are enrolled in Intermediate Level II or Advanced Level, you will receive a confirmation form for your degree program.
  2. This applies to all participants, both from the EU and non-EU countries.

Deferral of Admission
