TuWAs - Transformation hub for forming value chains in the powertrain
Overview
As a result of decisive factors such as the mobility revolution, the sustainability movement, advancing digitalization and dynamic changes in the working landscape, players in the automotive industry are facing drastic transformation processes. The transition to electromobility in particular poses fundamental challenges for suppliers of forming components in the powertrain. The pressure is growing to realign their value creation processes and business models in a future-oriented manner in order to remain competitive.
Objective
The aim of the project is to make a significant contribution to the successful transformation of affected companies and to provide significant impetus for the preservation of jobs, expertise and production networks in Germany and Europe. The "TuWAs" transformation hub aims to enable companies in the massive forming sector to transform successfully by providing tailored support services. This should enable them to develop successfully in a sustainable and digitally driven future with changing mobility patterns, working methods and lifestyles.
Often, the predominantly medium-sized companies lack the necessary capacities and expertise to manage the transformation process independently. The transformation hub "TuWAs" aims to enable these companies in the massive transformation sector to transform themselves through individual support services and thus to thrive successfully in a sustainable and digitized future characterized by changing mobility, working and living conditions. Participation in the project and the use of the services of "TuWAs" are possible for interested companies without any financial burden.
