About Sebastian Mantsch
Doctoral researcher at Paderborn University, as part of the ERC-project “Cultures of the Cryosphere”.
Thus far, my studies have focused mostly on our current digital era and how modern technologies have shaped our interactions with one another as well as these very technologies themselves (e.g., discrimination-aware machine learning, phenomenological views on robotics, etc.). My prior thesis focused on an undefined concept called “digital availability” and how we could conceive of this notion of permanent digital access to information as well as our being accessible to, essentially, anyone with a smart device. My future research will dive deeper into these issues.
