On Tuesday, 4 March, the new exchange students for the 2025 summer semester were welcomed to Paderborn University at an official introductory event by Martina Leifeld from the International Office. The 72 international students come from 36 partner universities from 20 different countries.
Update as of 20 March: The multi-storey car park can currently be used as usual up to and including the 5th floor. The car park is closed from the 6th floor onwards.
Paderborn University has been honoured with the "HR Excellence in Research Award". With this award, the European Commission recognises universities and research institutions that systematically work to improve the working conditions of their scientists.
Minister Ina Brandes has given the Paderborn zdi Centre, which cooperates with Paderborn University, a funding commitment of just over 207,000 euros for the "zdi.paderborn-TOP" project for a total of five years

The management of Paderborn University is calling for proposals for a research award for academics to support exceptional research projects outside the mainstream.
A successful cooperation between the Belgium Centre (BELZ) at Paderborn University and the Theodorianum grammar school has already existed since 2021, which is expressed above all in the joint organisation of the annual Belgium Day. This collaboration is now being expanded as part of the cooperation agreement "Benelux macht Schule".
Under the motto "Study to make a difference", it's time to lace up your running shoes again on Holy Saturday, 19 April. "UPB meets Osterlauf" offers students and employees of Paderborn University a unique opportunity to take part in the traditional Easter run in Paderborn.
