On Tuesday, 26 September, Paderborn University will host its Research Day. This year's motto "Smart Sustainability: Future-proof Concepts" focuses on a topic that is increasingly shaping and changing our society. The focus is on research work dedicated to the connection between smart technologies and ecological, economic and social sustainability. The Research Day is aimed at all Paderborn scientists – doctoral students and postdocs as well as professors – and serves as a platform for networking and communication within the University. The event starts at 9 a.m. in the O-Building. Registration is requested.
Prof. Dr. Susanne Boll, Professor of Media Informatics and Multimedia Systems in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oldenburg, will give the keynote speech on "Shaping tomorrow's world sustainably – digital innovations for sustainable production, work and consumption".
Prof. Dr. Hans-Georg Steinrück, who received the 2021 Research Award from Paderborn University, will explain what "Clean Water – Made by UPB" can look like.
Numerous workshops and a poster session will also provide opportunities for discussion and networking.
