Diversity in studies and teaching
Paderborn University considers the heterogeneity of its students as an opportunity. Structures that promote diversity are incorporated in the working and study conditions as well as in the design of teaching and learning conditions on campus.
For example, with the help of training courses for diversity-sensitive teaching, teachers are supported in their efforts to create innovative, low-barrier teaching scenarios at Paderborn University. Learners, in turn, are supported in their own individual abilities through competence-oriented learning opportunities and can attend courses that are tailored to their different needs and life situations.
In addition to multilingual teaching offers, the focus is particularly on creating an environment that enables self-determined, goal-oriented learning for students at the university. Diversity-sensitive teaching and learning opportunities therefore play a central role at Paderborn University in order to enable academic success and to continue to promote diversity on campus as a success factor for studying and teaching in the future.
