Paderborn University has a high proportion of female professors compared to other universities in the state and in Germany. The aim is to increase this even further.
Paderborn University's Dual Career Service offers counselling and support for newly appointed professors and their families.
In order to give female professors at Paderborn University the opportunity to reflect on their own professional role and develop options for action for individual professional concerns with professional support, coaching is offered for this target group.
An important step towards increasing the proportion of female professors in the long term is motivating young female academics to pursue an academic career. Here, the university has institutionalised various mentoring programmes.
