Mobile working at Paderborn University
By offering mobile working, Paderborn University supports flexible working and the compatibility of work and private interests. Mobile working means that employees perform their work outside of the office. This makes an important contribution to the more individual organisation of employees' work, reduces the time and money spent on commuting and relieves the environment and traffic routes.
Since March 2022, the framework conditions for mobile working have been regulated in an university-wide service agreement. In principle, all employees are eligible for mobile working, provided their job duties allow it (see Annex 2 of the service agreement). Trainees are excluded from this service agreement.
A high level of trust and responsible behaviour is required from everyone involved in mobile working. Mobile working is voluntary and can only be requested by employees; it cannot be ordered by managers. There is no legal entitlement to it.
