Content | Would you like to become more confident speaking English with students and staff at work? This course aims to help you improve your spoken English by expanding your vocabulary, improving your fluency and pronunciation, and providing you with a weekly opportunity to practice English in a supportive environment. Through engaging work-related speaking activities and discussions based on relevant articles, podcasts, and practical scenarios, participants will develop greater linguistic flexibility and confidence in using different language registers. The course content and discussion topics will be tailored to the participants’ interests and feedback at the start of the course. |
Instructor | Dr Pamela Heidi Douglas |
Information about the speaker | Pamela Heidi Douglas is a lecturer at Paderborn University and a native English speaker. Originally from Canada, she has studied and taught English in countries across Europe, North America, and Africa. After completing her Ph.D. at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, Heidi began teaching English courses at Paderborn University in 2018. She also has worked as a proofreader and editor of academic manuscripts and texts for over ten years. |
