No. 902.02	Pre-Intermediate English (A2/B1)
Dates	Mondays, 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM (from 07.10.2024 to 27.01.2025)
Location	In-person course
Target group	The course is aimed at employees who need English language skills for their work at Paderborn University and already have previous knowledge at level A1/A2.1.
Number of participants	max. 12 persons
Content	This is a general English course suitable for employees who have a basic knowledge of English (A1/A2 level) and would like to refresh and expand their existing language skills to CEFR B1 level. The English File Pre-Intermediate course book provides engaging texts, audios and videos aimed at motivating participants and boosting their confidence to communicate in English in everyday situations. This semester, we will cover units 1 to 4 in the course book.
Trainer	Eileen Saager
Trainer?s background	Eileen Saager is a native of Ireland. She obtained the CELTA Qualification (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) from the University of Cambridge in Dublin. For many years, she has lived and worked in Paderborn as an English language teacher in adult education and has led group and individual classes in various well-known companies in the area. Since 2008, she has been a lecturer at the ZfS. Parallel to this, she has participated in numerous further training courses in foreign language didactics.
Notes	The seminar is designed as a face-to-face seminar. You will be informed of the room with the invitation. To find out your language level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), you can take the following online tests: British Council Placement Test or Cambridge General English Test.
Registration deadline	30.09.2024 On the registration deadline, we will decide whether an event can take place based on the number of registrations. Therefore, please register promptly if you are interested. The more registrations we receive, the more certain we can hold the event. Late registrations will be accepted if there are still places available.
