Our work is based on the "Service agreement on the prevention of risky use of addictive substances, dealing with conspicuousness and help in the event of addiction" in its version of 2016-11-01 (just German version available). A comprehensible procedure for dealing with addiction problems is defined for everyone involved. The service agreement regulates fundamental questions and goals of addiction prevention.

At Paderborn University - addiction prevention and support in the event of addiction are understood as parts of company health management. They also serve to implement the Occupational Safety and Health Act (obligations of the employer and employees) and are seen as contributions to health promotion.

The main principle of all operational measures is to prevent dismissal.
