Aptitude tests
A special artistic, musical or sporting aptitude is required for the degree programmes listed below. Prospective students must take an examination to prove their aptitude.

- B. A. Musicology (specialising in artistic-musical education)
- B. A. Popular Music and Media
- Teaching degree (B. Ed.) with the subject area of Art
- Teacher training programme (B. Ed.) with the subject area Music
- Teaching degree (B. Ed.) with the subject area of sport
- Two-subject Bachelor with the subject area Art and Art Education
If you successfully complete the programme, you will receive proof that you have passed the Aptitude test.
The certificate must be uploaded as part of the enrolment process.
Have you passed an Aptitude test at another university?
If you have already passed an Aptitude Test for Art at another university, you may be able to have this recognised at Paderborn University. Please contact Irina Hegel for recognition.
The certificate of recognition of the Aptitude test must be submitted as part of the enrolment process. Certificates from other universities are not sufficient for enrolment.
If you have already passed an Aptitude test for Music at another university, you may be able to have this recognised at Paderborn University. Please contact Eckhard Wiemann for recognition.

If you have already passed a sports aptitude test at another university, you can use a list to determine whether this test is recognised at Paderborn University. The current list can be found on the information page of the faculty.
If the test is recognised, please upload proof that you have passed the Aptitude test (from the other university) as part of the enrolment process.
